Our Travel Life
|
For almost a month we stayed at Fraser Suites Harmony Hotel. Sometimes we used this self service washing machine to wash our clothes esp when Mr sun is not showing up. The 1st time I am suing the dryer was like.... UUUU...AAAAAA....dah kering? panas nya! macam masuk dalam oven. Hahahaha.... No wonder, most houses in here have the dryer because for few reasons. Reason #1, they live inside the apartment house, thus, no space to hang their clothes. Reason #2, though it is during summer season, but the weather is really unpredictable. Sometimes, it was rain and sometimes windy without the sunny. | |

Use this machine to insert coin or token. Once it done, then just press the machine number. |
The rate : 6 euro for washing and 3 euro for dry your clothes. The washing machine also incorporated with the soap. No need to add our own soap. Hehe

The supermarket that we used to go to buy the groceries.
The sign is showing their OPEN HOURS. Here, small shop like this will close around 2pm and re-open at 4pm. They will close at 9pm. Coccinelle means : Ladybug or Ladybird
Normally, I will bring my "3 handbags" to this shop. Nasib baik dekat, so boleh la nak angkut sumer. If naik Metro, sorry naik lorry la yer. :)

I know, i know. Most of us are still in Raya Mood but some of us was already started works right?.Here in Paris, we celebrated 1st Syawal with other Malays.Alhamdulilah, we started the day with solat and takbir raya at the embassy. The train was empty since it was early Sunday morning. The dish was not bad at all.We ate sate hj samuri, ketupat daun kelapa, ketupat daun palas, rendang daging, kuah kacang, assorted biscuits and laksa. What else could be better when you can eat all kind of this food when you know that you are thousands miles away from your hometown.
We also attended 2 open houses. Both are hosted by hubby's bosses. We used Metro and to reach at their house, need some energy to walk. Unfortunately, 19 August 2012 was very2 hot. The day that being heat wave. I was told by my husband the heat wave was hits few countries in Europe. The next day? was cloudy and rainy.
When i bumped with other muslims here, they will wish you "Eid Mubarak"..unlike malay muslims.."Selamat hari raya, maaf zahir dan batin".To add more barakah in your wishes..we can say.. "Takaballahuminna waminkum" ..as being said by muslim cashier at coccinelle supermarket to me. I am happy to see other muslims around the world.
Finally, let's reflect ourselves...how was our last Ramadhan? Is that better than previous one? Or vice versa?...may ALLAH SWT give us a chances to meet many, many Ramadhan after this.InshaAllah.Eid Mubarak to all muslims!

Cooking & Baking,
My Joy
Tajuk di atas berkenaan donut dan karipap. Sabtu lepas, just before one day raya...we went to Auchan to buy the ingredients for biskut la batik, but mission to find biskut de marrie was failed.According to my friend, the biscuit was at thr cake ingredients section and after spend almost 30min cari itu biskut..sudahnya tak jumpa. So frustated... :(
So i just took the wheat flour without think the purpose of it. Btw, i learned french ppl say wheat flour as farine de bleu.. (faghine du ble). French language contain so many ghen pronounciation. Kot rumi tade sound 'ghen'.Jawi jer ade..bagus tak bagus tulisan jawi nih kan?
My 1st project using this farine was begneit and i bought the levure as well.Btw, did you know that wheat flour here was only 0.36€ per kilo?So cheap right?
Alhamdulillah, i have successfully made my 1st doughnut ou begneit in france.Hehehe...I substitute bar chocolate with a mixture of sweetened cream, hot chocolate powder and margarine. It was a bit sweet i think because of the hot chocolate powder itself. We gave some doughnut to Qaisara's family who also staying in this hotel.Oh, hannah made special form for Qaisara... :)and they love it to bits!
Few days after that..i made currypuff since my other half love currypuff so much. The filling was sardin and potatoes. It taste so yummy but my dough was not turned out very well.I would said, mission failed!. I think because the measurement was not right since i need to mix between hot cooking oil and water. The original recipe was used cup and there was no cup here.As a result, the dough was so hard and difficult to roll. I give up!.. So,.i just made 10 pcs of currypuff. The rest i just fries it as hannah love to eat the pastry without filling in it.This is not my 1st time made currypuff and yes! I blamed the short-of-tools-to-make currypuff.Hahaha..nevermind, i will do it again and again once i moved out to my house soon. So, this pic is proof that currypuff was done and mind you that this pic before i fried it.After fried? Nope! Tak nak amik gamba sebab huduh! Hahah..tapi hubby cakap sedap jer sebab rapuh sangat
That's all now, next entry will story about our Eid Mubarak 's celebration in Paris. :D

Alhamdulillah...
Today, papa brought us to the house that are goingto be our nest for a year here, InshaAllah. We used metro from La Defence and stop at Porte Maillot. We met the agent namely Claire. She was so helpful and kind person. The distance from the Metro station to the house was very closed..i think it only took 5-10minutes walking to reach to our house. The area was very calm and as an asian people like us, I guarantee that everything was look so new and different. The house is an apartment type and it was located inside the building itself. To enter the building, each of the residents must have an access card with the code number given. This is their way of safety purposes since there was no fence at all, unlike houses in Malaysia.
In Paris, the utilities that included were gas, electricity and water.French people use gas for the hot water and heater. They provide the heater for each room in the house and fyi, they don't have air conditioning in their houses and yet, it still cold although now it's summer season.
Overall, we satisfied with the house but the owner must do few things:
1) Remove all the statues. ( there we so many statues inside the house and the biggest one is same size as Umair)
2) Change all the carpet with the new one
3) Replace the yellow bulb to white color
InshaAllah, if everything going smooth and steady,we will move to the house around end of August.
These are few pictures taken inside the house and the outside view.

Hannah,
Paris,
shopping,
Umair
Last saturday, we went to buy hannah and umair's toys since hannah keep complaining that she is so bored because no toys to play. Hubby said, they closed their shop very early..around 7pm so we went there around 430pm. I can't remember the Mall's name but it was a walking distance only and I have to admit that It's quite far for the 1st timer especially when you're carrying your baby or toddler with you. Here, so many stairs to climb..not suitable for stroller unless you go with your partner or someone must accompany you.
We straight go to the Toy's R us. I must said that the shop is bigger than we had in KLCC. Hannah choose her minney and we bought bowling set for umair and as predicted, Umair is more interested with her sister's toys.

Alhamdulillah, Allah Swt made our journey become smooth and safe. It was a great and wonderful experience to me and kids. I am happy too because we still can perform our solah although we're in the aeroplane. Kids was sleep soundly for only 8-9 hrs in the plane. After that, they played actively.Hannah as usual, keep asking me.. "bila nak smpi"..Finally, we checked- in at the Fraser suites Harmony around 830 am.The weather was so cold!.Me and hubby was jet lag on that day but kids? ironically, was very playful. We had a pakistani dishes for our
1st day of iftar. And it was a delivery. Again, thank you Allah...despite all the diffilcuties we faced through our journey...we had accomplished our 1st 17hrs of fasting. :)))).
